Chakras, know as energy centers, have been a focal point of ancient spiritual traditions for centuries. They have been in the ancient Vedic texts and traditions in India and are a fundamental part of Hindu and Buddhist spiritual practices.
The concept of chakras was used to understand and navigate the flow of energy through the human body. The word "chakra" itself means "wheel" in Sanskrit, symbolizing the spinning energy centers located along the spine.
Sound plays a key role in bringing balance to your energy. Making sure that your energy is flowing freely, in a smooth and balanced way.
Bija mantras are one-syllable seed sounds, each associated with a specific chakra. When each mantra is chanted, the vibration helps to clear blockages, enhance energy flow, and harmonizes the mind and body within that chakra.

When your chakras are balanced, energy flows freely through your body, promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Signs of balanced chakras include:
Conversely, imbalanced chakras can manifest as physical ailments, emotional distress, and spiritual disconnection.
Bija mantras are seed sounds that resonate with specific chakras, helping to cleanse and activate these energy centers. Chanting these mantras while focusing on the associated chakra can help restore balance. Here’s how you can incorporate them into your daily practice:
1. Find a quiet space where you won't be disturbed.
2. Sit comfortably with your spine straight and close your eyes.
3. Begin with the Root Chakra and chant "LAM," visualizing the color red at the base of your spine.
4. Move up to the Sacral Chakra and chant "VAM," visualizing the color orange.
5. Continue this process for each chakra, using the respective mantra and color visualization.
If at the end you feel light headed, out of your body or not grounded, then end with the Root Chakra and chant "LAM" 3 times.
